Members
Members of the association are divided in full members, probationary members and honorary members.
A. Full (Individual) member
Full member of the association has the right to be every natural person who will have legal capacity and will be psychotherapist who will have attended a 450 hours course in psychodynamic psychotherapeutic specialty, during of which they will have completed a 1.000 hours traineeship in psychotherapy. Training must be carried out in no less than 3 years and no more than 6 years. After completing the training, if in less than 2 years, the psychotherapist must have completed hours of supervised training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. The supervision must be of at least 250 hours on the whole and for each 4 hours practice in psychotherapy there must be an hour of supervision and no less than an hour a month. In addition, 260 hours of personal treatment are an essential condition. Psychotherapists who prove that they have practiced psychodynamic psychotherapy during the last ten years, have also the right to be full members even after 2 years of the setup of the association.
After providing a copy of their degree as well as a copy of the certificate of training In psychodynamic psychotherapy, a certificate by the supervisor and a certificate of personal treatment, the registration will be complete.
Full member of the association can also become every educational center (legal person) the educational program of which, should include all described above regarding the natural persons. This entails that its program is structured in such a way that it presents 450 hours of theory in psychodynamic psychotherapy, 1000 hours of internship in it, 250 hours of supervision and 260 hours of personal treatment.
After providing the syllabus of their courses the registration will be complete.

B. Student members
Probationary member of the association can become every student of psychotherapeutic courses or students of psychology departments or students of psychodynamic psychotherapy educational institution in home country as well as abroad.
After providing certificate of studies their registration will be complete.
The probationary members have the right to participate in the general assemblies by speech without having the right, though, to vote and stand for election.

C. Affiliated members
The EAPSYP offers affiliated membership to persons or organizations who have an interest in psychotherapy and would like to receive information about the latest developments on a regular basis but do not fulfil the criteria for full EAPSYP membership. Affiliated members are invited to participate in EAPSYP Board meetings but have no voting rights.
There will probably be a separate list of honorary members who will be natural or legal persons without however the right to vote or stand for election as a reward for their contribution for advancing psychotherapeutic science, theory and act, as well as for the efforts and aims in favor of the association. The honorary members will be declared by the management board.
The members can register after submitting their application form to the management board, in which they state that they accept the charter and the aims of the association as well as the attached code of conduct. The charter of the association along with the code of conduct are a single body and integral part of it, and with the simultaneous payment of their registration fee.
The registration of new members will be approved by the great majority of the members of the management board.
Assuming an argument arises within the Management board regarding a member’s registration, the issue will be solved by the next management board formation. In case of a tie (equal number of votes) the president’s vote will be considered as double.

The association members have the right to:
a) Participate, express their opinion freely and vote at the association’s general assemblies. They also preserve the right to take note of the Minutes and the decisions the association makes and receive at their expense copies of them as well as get informed regarding the progress in union's business.
b) Vote and stand for election provided that they have settled their financial obligations. Otherwise they will be deprived of this right.
C) Use association’s facilities and participate in all kinds of events the association organizes.
Only full members are counted for quorum and majority at the meetings, vote and stand for election in the board of directors and audit committee provided that they have settled their financial obligations. The probationary members of the association, have financial obligations and the right to be present at the process without having the right though to express their view or vote or stand for election.
If a mental health specialist wishes to receive membership they must fulfill the requirements defined by the association. Then they submit their application form found at the website and once filled in, they send it accompanied by the supporting documents by email.
The members are obliged to:
Pay registration fee which is 100 euro, annual subscription which is 50 euro as well as the membership Identity card which is 30 euro. Where ID cards are altered or re – issued the members have to pay the cost which will be set by the board of directors.
How to apply?
All applications for organizational and individual membership within the EAPSYP are checked by the EAPSYP membership committee. This committee consists of two members from the and the actual EAPSYP president. The membership committee meets once per month to discuss the applications.

- Please make sure that you send all documents in English.
- The EAPSYP headoffice sends a copy of your application to each member of the membership committee.
- The EAPSYP headoffice will contact you if there are any additional documents needed or any questions are raised by the members of the membership committee.
- The membership committee votes for your acceptance at one of its meetings.
- The EAPSYP headoffice sends a welcome letter to you in case of acceptance or informs you about any other documents needed.
Organizational applications
